I share your vision — bring HD to businesses, schools, government…well maybe not the latter just yet. It would be grand to work with a team where each person’s role, strengths and quirks were appreciated. Maybe afternoon cave breaks for the 2nd line peeps. Better teams, higher moral and productivity.
I so enjoy reading about your process and exploration of HD. Taking yourself on each day to see how you can connect deeper to your true nature. The best part is you can’t get it right or wrong. It is just the program.

Gina & Kate, I’m a 6/2 too.
I am 32 now and have been in a state of retreat to my hermitage for a couple years. Only recently have I fully embraced and accepted this hermitty side of me. Now I actually say “I am feeling hermitty” these days with pride. I find that many people respond sympathetically when they hear someone spent the whole weekend alone, seeing a movie alone, or going on vacation alone. But for us 2nd lines, the experience is often more sweet when alone. I used to be influenced by this opinion of the homogenized world, the opinion that you always must be with the other to feel happy, so I thought there was something wrong with me because i don’t always want to be with people. Thanks to Gina’s reading and HD, not anymore!

Now, if the whole world could just acknowledge Human Design, we’d be so much more productive. Imagine the corporate boss knowing his best employee is a 2nd line, when that person comes to him and says he needs a week off, there will be no resistance. The boss would know giving those days off will make the 2nd line more creative, energetic and productive in the end. This would be ideal.

Gina, thanks for helping to create a more balanced and evolved world. Keep up the good work.

I love what you wrote and will read it over many times. Thanks so much for responding. I did make a mistake and when I forgot to write in Manifesting before the word Generator. Oops. I am a Manifesting Generator. Still need to respond!!

I’d invite you to re-consider:
1. You are a Generator. Generators are here to respond. Your words “pursue” “moving full force”, are what is correct for a Manifestor, not a Generator. That being said, when a Generator has a strong desire to experience a particular career or life path, I suggest to them to test it out. Testing it out might look like volunteering or make a phone call to someone you know who is in that same business or go to a networking/association meeting, something like that. It is OK for a Generator to put it (or her/his self) out there and see what happens. If you encounter openness, receptivity, enjoyment then, wait, what else there is to respond to. If you are met with chaos or uphill battles, this means stop this is not correct for you.
2. When you are aligned with your Design, the 2nd line (in Profile) will find a way to privacy and hermitage. You don’t have to ‘do’ anything. It will happen on it’s own. As you’re presented with choices, and you respond from your Sacral and inner authority, you will naturally allocate down time for the hermit to get its puttering and into it’s natural flow.
3. The happiest Generators live in the NOW. If you have this desire NOW, follow your S & A on your way to stardom. The future will take care of itself.

Hi Gina! I loved reading this as a 5/2 Generator with a Left Angle Cross of Cycles. I’m 30 and have been in an extreme hermit situation for the past five years, living with my sister in a remote town where I literally don’t see anyone I know. I’ve been living with a certain dichotomy for a while now and I’ve recently begun to question it. That is– I’ve long had the desire and often thought it was my purpose to be an entertainer, a filmmaker or an actor or musician. But I never pursue these things because I have to leave my hermitage to do so and that would be uncomfortable. Plus, I am probably afraid that if I become successful (which I know I will when I commit to it. After all 2’s are naturals- heehee.) then my hermitage will be taken away from me. I think that’s literally the root of what’s been stopping me from moving full force toward what I’d love to do with my life. Just thought I would share this with the other 2’s out there and see if I could strike up a conversation about it. I’d love to hear any of your thoughts on the matter.

Your blog is great. Looking forward to reading more of what you share here.
